When it comes to loadouts, it’s always going to come down to preference. The FN-FAL is an assault rifle, and there’s plenty of good choices in that department, as ARs are a staple in most loadouts. Put next to an SMG for close combat, a sniper rifle like the HDR or AX-50, or even something explosive, it’s the perfect mid-range complement.

The FN FAL Explained, TTK and Armor

The FN FAL’s semi-automatic nature may be a turn-off for some in Call of Duty: Warzone, but it’s that element that makes it so effective. It has a low hip-fire acuracy, so it’s no ideal for close range, but with practice, players will be able to unload a full magazine at-to-long ranges with a high degree of accuracy. Account for recoil, but this makes it a strong go-between for an AR and a sniper rifle. This is something to consider when it comes to the utility of a loadout. One downfall is that it comes standard with a 20-round magazine, but done right, this minor annoyance can be completely mitigated.

The FN FAL hits, and it hits hard. This may sound like a simple principle, but it’s one that truly matters in Call of Duty: Warzone. Recent testing has proven that the FN FAL can shred through 3 plates of armor for a down—roughly 250 health—the fastest of all available assault rifles. Redditor Sorangkun tested and was able to determine the following Warzone TTKs for assault rifles:

FN FAL (480 ms) AK-47 (535 ms / 5. 45 ammunition = 522 ms) ODEN (552 ms) RAM-7 (544 ms) M4A1 (576 ms) Kilo 141 (616 ms) Grau 5. 56 (640 ms) M13 (650 ms) CAR (700 ms) FR 5. 56 (834 ms)

Perhaps some of this is surprising, especially how high the AK-47 sits and how middling Warzone’s M4A1 is, but it’s clear that the FN FAL dominates in this regard. Of course, the M4A1 is more popular due to its flexibility and customization options, so there’s no going wrong with it. But having someone, a squadmate, sport a FN-FAL to break armor while others move in for clean-up is a wise tactic. Doing so means putting squad composition in Call of Duty: Warzone first, and utilizing a FN-FAL can go a long way in that regard.

The Best Attachments for the FN FAL

Of course, one of the biggest factors in this is what attachments players choose to kit out their weapon. This, like most things, comes down to personal preferences. One thing fans should keep on the Call of Duty: Warzone weapon whenever possible is the 30 round magazine, as it helps those with an itchy trigger finger and when in an intense multi-squad gunfight. Here are some recommended loadouts, depending on how players choose to use it:
