In Warzone, range and recoil control is extremely important, but high-caliber ARs like the AK-47 have always suffered from unpredictable recoil. The CR-56 uses 7.62 caliber ammunition, meaning it has some of the best DPS and range in the AR class alongside the SCAR and AK, but it exceeds both of them due to its great shooting characteristics and good options for attachments. The CR-56 is already a better choice than the other weapons in its caliber, but it could even challenge the M4A1 and GRAU 5.56 for their top spots in Warzone’s weapon hierarchy.

Best CR-56 AMAX Attachments for Warzone
The CR-56 is unlocked at tier 31 of the battle pass, meaning not many players have gotten much experience with it yet. It is based on the real-world Galil ACE, a modernized version of an AK-47 variant intended for use by the Israeli armed forces. It is famous for including a wealth of unusual attachments like wire cutters and a bottle opener, but its attachments in-game are more focused on improving performance than utility. With the right setup, the CR-56 can be a close-range powerhouse, a long-range workhorse, or even something resembling a DMR. After enough players have had the chance to unlock it, everyone should expect to see a lot of it in battle royale.
Key to any good Warzone build is the Monolithic suppressor, and the CR-56 has one just like every other AR. It also has two short barrels that prioritize ADS speed and movement, but the XRK Zodiac 5440 barrel will push the Cr-56’s range out to competitive distances while improving its recoil control. As for stocks, the FSS Close Quarters stock and the CR-56 EXO stock both improve ADS time and handling, while Stippled and Rubberized grip tape improve ADS and recoil control respectively. Rear grips and stocks will be vital to rounding out focused builds.
The 45-round magazine will be crucial to Warzone gameplay, as it will allow players to tear through body armor and sustain fire on multiple enemies in a row. It’s not as much as the 60-round magazines of other ARs, but with its 7.62 caliber rounds it will still do some serious work. Foregrips can improve recoil and handling significantly, and the Commando foregrip and bipod should be the go-to options for any good Warzone AR build. Optics are up to preference, and lasers are usually a bad choice in Warzone because of how they can give away their users’ position to enemies.

Best CR-56 AMAX Builds for Warzone
The best all-around Warzone build for the CR-56 will take advantage of its superior recoil control to push its effective accuracy out as far as possible. A good zoom optic, the Monolithic suppressor, XRK Zodiac barrel, 45-round magazines, and CR-56 EXO stock will increase the range of the gun out to its maximum, but still keeps a good level of mobility along with a high ammo capacity. The maximum accuracy can be had with a Compensator muzzle device, Zodiac barrel, Operator foregrip, and rubberized grip tape. This setup will be extremely controllable, but misses out on stealth, ammo capacity, and mobility.
The CR-56 can also become a DMR with extreme stopping power at long range. A sniper optic, Monolithic suppressor, Zodiac barrel, Bipod, and 10-round magazines make the gun competitive with other snipers and DMRs. While the 10-round magazines offer extreme stopping power, there are still better options out there. 30- or 45-round magazines are still the way to go, but adding a bipod for extra accuracy is a great choice for improving recoil control without incurring harsh penalties. With any of these builds, the CR-56 is the best high-caliber AR in the game now due to its accuracy, putting in direct competition with smaller, faster 5.56 caliber rifles like the M4A1. If it can surpass them is yet to be seen, but it is by far the best choice for anyone who wants to try out a different playstyle.
